We had decided to travel to the Sanford Hotel and even gone so far as to book reservations in a room across the hall from our target Sara Thomas. Racer X had once again been put on some special high risk duty assignment where his talents were supposedly invaluable. Either way we were committed and moved on Voice, Eagle Eye, Cowboy, Shade and I arrived near our Sanford in the morning as it was still early on July 19th 2011.
We had decided to make our move early and barely even had to use our new disguises as Eagle Eye had been able to spot Sara in her room. She had looked unconscious which was why we had decided to move in. Things quickly became exciting as no sooner had we arrived on the 4th floor then Cowboy took off down hall as it seemed he had seen a door on the other end of the hall close. I followed him when I was able and found him down the stairwell in an incoherent state. Meanwhile Voice and Eagle Eye had moved to room 406 when I suddenly picked up a psychic vision of them being attacked by a man who literally burst thru the wall taking them by surprise. I informed them via our communication links so they switched tactics and I saw that they were still ambushed. So I sent a final message telling them to be careful.
I teleported down the hall to the aid of Cowboy and returned same way to rejoin Shade who had just exited the elevator and was moving up to room 403. Of course inside the adjoining rooms Voice and Eagle Eye were not dealing with two Vampires and one had already charmed Eagle Eye into attacking the Voice. The Voice continued to unload on Sara while yet the Vampire I had seen in my vision began to menace him. Fortunately I was able to literally able to slap Cowboy out of his trance. I had also called on Agent Summers just in case and she had informed us she could be there in seconds if we needed her. Cowboy made the call and she swooped in to assist.
Honestly I am not really sure if we would have been able to take out the actually transplanar humans who had become hosts for their Vampire hosts. On the other hand once Agent Summers had arrived on the scene it was a mute point anyway. As they were soon defeated contained and returned to the Montauk Base for analysis.
We never did find out exactly had put the whammy on Cowboy but we did find clues in the rooms which included fake passports. In addition we were able to track her travel which had included London, England, Alicante, Spain, and Congo of South America. It left us with clues that I am sure Eagle Eye would work to decipher. It also left us with new body snatched humans for the Doctors to study. All in all not a bad operation if I did say so myself no one hurt no one captured everyone safe and accounted for but of course things were about to change.
