Perhaps it’s ironic that in this timeline I never became the Transporter but that does not mean that I just went to college and partied all the time far from it. Like my Mother had a desire to work for the Government without any extra abilities I did not really feel I was cut out for the Special Activities Division (SAD) a division of the United States Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) National Clandestine Service (NCS). Suffice to say the SAD agents are reputed to be the best of the best as far as Secret Agents are concerned. Although my Mother who was also former MI-6 often disagreed with that assessment but then again she was biased.
Suffice to say I was approached while I attended the New York Film Academy as I often spent much of my time studying abroad at their off site locations to join the NCS as an Operations Officer. If you ever get a chance to check out the Agencies web site I advise it. You might find that being and Operations Officer might just be for you. I will admit even if my parents had not already been involved with the Agency I would have still been impressed. I have included it below just in case anyone feels the need to become a valuable asset to the CIA and also loves to travel.
For the extraordinary individual who wants more than a job, this is a way of life that will challenge the deepest resources of your intelligence, self-reliance and responsibility. It demands an adventurous spirit, a forceful personality, superior intellectual ability, toughness of mind and the highest degree of integrity. It takes special skills and professional discipline to produce results and to deal with fast-moving, ambiguous and unstructured situations that will test your resourcefulness to the utmost. The Clandestine Service is the vital human element of intelligence collection - on the cutting edge of American intelligence. This is an elite corps that gathers the vital information needed by our policymakers to make critical foreign policy decisions. The Central Intelligence Agency's Clandestine Service Trainee Program (CST) is the gateway to a unique overseas experience.
Let’s just say the idea of working for the NCS which had only been formed in 2005 was right up my alley. It was at this time that I was officially issued the cover identity of Rebecca Harrison. Looking back at it in my other life I had been a member of the SAD but then again I was more impressive in that reality so I could see why it had worked better for me. So being a member of the NCS I was able to use my worldwide contacts to aid the agency. Well alright it’s not like we are talking high level contacts or anything but never underestimate the value of human intelligence.
Of course I was able to use my contacts with the New York Film Academy to have an excuse to visit area both domestic and foreign. You might be surprised when you find out all of the locations in the world where they instruct students in the arts. In the United States alone they are established in of course New York City (NY) in addition to Disney Studios in Miami (FL), Universal Studios in sunny Los Angeles (CA) even Harvard University, Cambridge (MA) and my alma mater Yale University, New Haven (CT). Now as far as international locations they really step it up with locations such in London (England), Florence, Rome (Italy), Paris (France), Cartagena (Colombia), Abuja (Nigeria), Alicante (Spain), Seoul (Korea), even two campus locations in China with Shanghai and Beijing as well two in Japan with Kyoto and Tokyo. As you can see with such diverse locations it was not hard for me to have an excuse to get away depending on the needs of the NCS.
So basically my were fairly simple my main role was to of course look for people who might otherwise go unnoticed and befriend and recruit them to be used as human intelligence operatives. Of course there was the occasional dinner party to attend whenever an SAD operative might need someone attractive on their arm but for the most part I never dealt with a situation where I even had to pull a pistol much less a knife. That I would say is actually why I had hardly even mentioned the whole business in my previous unconnected log entries. Sure I dreamed of one day being and SAD operative but for the moment I had been content once I had graduated from Yale with travelling the country refining my technique in preparation of and album. Of course while travelling I had been tasked with keeping an eye and ear out for any information regarding anyone recruiting college students and conservatives into a new political organization. The information I had received had been vague as usual in order to protect me in case my cover was blown as I was at the time not posing as Rebecca but instead Amanda.
During the few months I had not been approached by anyone who seemed to meet the bill I really did not count the countless lame men who tried to pick me up. To be honest that was par for the course as normally wherever I went someone seemed to want to hit on me. I mean seriously was that all men thought about not that I didn’t but I had my mind set on something better and to be honest I yet to meet the man of my dreams as it were. Perhaps I was expecting someone swoop in when I was in death defying danger and whisk me away to safety. It had happened to my Mother after all shortly after they first met. Perhaps a tale for another time I suppose but a woman could dream. Until then I was too young to settle so when I had approached by the DSEA with the chance to acquire my latent psychic abilities I had jumped at the chance. I mean really who wouldn’t jump at the chance for the opportunity to serve their country and to gain access to abilities far beyond the reach of mere mortals.
